YouTube Scheduler: Queue Videos and Shorts With Your Other Networks
Social Magnum uploads and schedules YouTube videos and Shorts from one calendar, next to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, Bluesky and Mastodon. YouTube Studio schedules for free and its help page states no limit on how far ahead you can go, but its watch page shows dates in Pacific Time and it only knows about YouTube. Here a video sits in the same week view as everything else and can go through approval first.

What YouTube Studio does, and the one thing it does not tell you
YouTube Studio schedules uploads for free: set the visibility to Scheduled, pick a date, a time and a timezone, and the video stays private until then. Its help page is the only one among the major platforms that states no maximum on how far ahead you can schedule.
The quirk is the date your viewers see. YouTube's watch page renders dates in Pacific Time, so a video scheduled from anywhere east of California can show a different calendar day publicly than the one in your Studio. Nothing changes that, including us; it is worth knowing before you promise a launch date.
What Studio cannot do is see the rest of your week. If the same launch goes out as a Short, a Reel, a TikTok and a Threads post, those live in four tools. Social Magnum puts them on one calendar, with the YouTube upload queued to publish at the same slot.
How scheduling a YouTube video works here
Connect the channel with Google sign-in, then treat a video like any other post.
- 1Connect your YouTube channel with Google. We ask only for the upload scope, which is why comments stay in Studio.
- 2Add the video file, the title and the description in the composer. A YouTube post needs a video and a title; the composer says so before you can schedule it.
- 3Pick the slot on the calendar, in your workspace timezone.
- 4Optionally route it through approval.
- 5At the slot the video uploads and publishes as public. A failed upload is marked with YouTube's reason and can be retried.
Schedule YouTube uploads from your AI agent
Through the Social Magnum MCP server, an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT can draft the title and description, schedule the upload and report back, using your account and nothing else. You approve the connection once in the browser.
How the MCP server worksYouTube scheduling, answered
How far in advance can you schedule YouTube videos?
YouTube's help page states no limit for YouTube Studio, and Social Magnum has none either. Both let you queue a video for months ahead.
Can you schedule YouTube Shorts?
Yes. A Short is a vertical video under the Shorts length limit; schedule it like any other video and YouTube treats it as a Short.
Why does the watch page show a different date than I scheduled?
YouTube renders watch-page dates in Pacific Time. If your timezone is ahead of PST, a video scheduled for the early hours can display the previous day's date. This is YouTube's behaviour, not the scheduler's.
Can I edit a scheduled YouTube video?
In Studio, set it to private, edit the draft and pick a new time. In Social Magnum, edit or move the post in the queue before its slot; after it publishes, edits happen in Studio.
Does the free plan include YouTube?
Yes. The free plan covers 2 social accounts and 15 posts a month across any of the eight networks, with no card required.

How to Schedule YouTube Videos: No Ceiling, but a Date Trap
YouTube states no limit on how far ahead you can schedule. But watch pages render dates in Pacific Time, so viewers may see a different day.
YouTube Shorts Size: A Shape, Not a Resolution
YouTube Shorts size is a shape rule, not a resolution: square or vertical, up to 3 minutes. A square video qualifies, and 1080x1920 is convention.
YouTube Thumbnail Size: What Changed, and Whether Your Old Files Still Work
YouTube thumbnail size is now 3840x2160, not 1280x720. What changed, whether your existing files still work, and how to resize one free.
The Best Time to Post on YouTube Matters Least of All
Buffer gives Sunday 10am for long-form and Friday for Shorts from one dataset. On YouTube, the upload hour matters less than anywhere.
