How to remove your data from Social Magnum
How to Delete Your Data
You have several ways to remove your data from Social Magnum:
Option 1 — Revoke access from the platform (instant)
Remove Social Magnum from the connected platform's own settings:
- Facebook: Settings → Business Integrations → find Social Magnum → Remove
- Instagram: Settings → Apps and websites → remove Social Magnum
- Threads: Account settings → connected apps → remove Social Magnum
When you remove the app from Facebook, Meta notifies us via a deauthorize callback and we automatically invalidate the stored tokens for your connected accounts. Your connection data is soft-deleted immediately and fully purged within 30 days.
Option 2 — Disconnect individual accounts (in-app)
- Log into Social Magnum
- Go to Connected Pages
- Click the trash icon on any Facebook Page, Instagram account, or Threads profile you want to disconnect
- For soft-disconnected accounts, click the trash icon again to permanently delete
Permanent deletion removes the account record, its encrypted access token, associated scheduled posts, and cached analytics. This cannot be undone.
Option 3 — Request full account deletion (email)
To delete your entire account and all associated data, email us:
Include:
- Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- The email address associated with your Social Magnum account
- Your name (for verification)
We process deletion requests within 30 days and confirm by email.
What Gets Deleted
On full account deletion, we remove:
- Your user account and profile information
- All connected Facebook, Instagram, and Threads account records and their encrypted access tokens
- All scheduled and historical post records, and drafts
- All cached analytics and insights
- Workspace, team membership, and account-assignment records
- Any media files stored on our cloud infrastructure
What We Cannot Delete
- Content already published: once a post is published to Facebook, Instagram, or Threads, it lives on that platform. Deleting your data from Social Magnum does not remove already-published posts — use the platform directly to delete them.
- The platform's own records: Meta retains its own logs of API calls and permission grants under its Privacy Policy.
Automated Data Deletion Callback
When you remove Social Magnum from your Facebook Business Integrations, Meta sends an automated, signed request to our servers. Our system:
- Receives and verifies the signed request from Meta
- Identifies the accounts connected via that Facebook login
- Invalidates and clears the stored access tokens
- Returns a confirmation code to Meta for your records
No manual action is required beyond removing the app in your Facebook settings.
