6 Best Ayrshare Alternatives in 2026 (APIs and AI Agents)

Ayrshare is the mature social API, and $149 a month buys one profile. Six alternatives that split the job into cheaper pieces, from a $16 pipe to a $0 self-host to an MCP server for AI agents.

Ayrshare earned its position: thirteen networks behind one REST API, mature docs, webhooks, real support — the social API you pick when the integration must simply work. The search for alternatives starts at the invoice. On its pricing page, $149 a month buys one user profile, ten profiles cost $299, and thirty start at $599 with per-profile rates above that. There is no free tier. For a solo builder or a product still finding users, that is enterprise pricing before enterprise revenue. Every number on this page was read from the vendors’ own pages on 23 August 2026.

Why people leave Ayrshare

  • $149 a month buys one profile. The Premium plan covers a single user profile — up to thirteen accounts, one per network. The tools below start at $0 to $29 for the same first profile.
  • Scale is priced per profile, forever. Ten profiles cost $299, thirty start at $599, then $8.99 per profile to 100, $3.49 to 500, $2.49 beyond — plus a $300 Max Pack add-on for the advanced feature set.
  • No free tier, trial on one plan. The 28-day trial (no card) applies to the $299 Launch plan; there is nothing to build against at $0.
  • The caller changed. If the “integration” you were about to write is an AI agent posting on a schedule, an MCP server replaces the whole SDK-and-keys exercise — a category that did not exist when Ayrshare’s model was set.

1 · Social Magnum — when the caller is an AI agent (ours)

Social Magnum’s MCP server replaces the integration rather than repricing it: Claude, ChatGPT or Codex signs in with OAuth and drives 26 documented tools — scheduling, drafts, media, inbox replies, analytics — under approval gates and pacing rules enforced on our side. No SDK, no key storage, no per-profile meter: it rides the normal flat plans — $24 a month for 10 accounts, $59 for 30, $119 for 70, AI included, with a free plan to test against. Ayrshare’s $299 tier covers 10 profiles; ours at a tenth of the price covers 10 accounts with the app, inbox and approvals included.

The honest limits: it is agent-first, not code-first — if you need raw REST endpoints inside a backend service, the four tools below are built for that — and it publishes to eight networks that do not include X, LinkedIn or Google Business, where Ayrshare’s thirteen do.

2 · Upload-Post — the cheapest pure pipe

Upload-Post is the direct budget answer: a posting API with a free tier (10 uploads a month, 2 profiles), then $16 a month for unlimited uploads on 5 profiles and $33 for 25 — roughly a tenth of Ayrshare’s rate at each size. Mainstream networks covered, TikTok on paid tiers.

The honest limits: it is only the pipe — no inbox, calendar or approvals — posting links on X costs a $19 a month add-on, and the docs and webhook surface are younger than Ayrshare’s.

3 · Postiz — own the infrastructure

Postiz is the open-source route: self-host the whole stack free on your own server — the only $0-forever answer in this category — or take the hosted product from $29 a month (5 channels) to $99 (100 channels) with an API and webhooks bundled.

The honest limits: self-hosting makes you the ops team, and the product is the youngest here.

4 · Blotato — agent API plus AI studio

Blotato is the other agent-era vendor: an API plus an MCP server, bundled with AI image, video and voice generation, metered by credits — $29 a month for 1,250 credits and 20 accounts, $97 for 5,000 and 40. If AI video belongs in the same bill, nothing else on this page generates it.

The honest limits: the credit meter governs the AI half, and API access is excluded from the 7-day trial — you commit before you can test the API. Our full Blotato alternatives guide goes deeper.

5 · Publer API — a scheduler that includes one

Publer’s Business tier at $10 per account a month ($8 yearly) includes API access for creating and scheduling content and reading analytics — so a five-account roster gets a full scheduler plus an API for about $50 a month. X connections are paid-only and team members cost per seat.

The honest limits: it is an app’s companion API, not infrastructure — per-account pricing and daily posting limits make it a poor fit for high-volume multi-tenant use.

6 · Buffer API — the rate-capped rider

Buffer includes API access with its ordinary plans — 3,000 requests a month free, 7,500 on Essentials ($5 per channel yearly), 15,000 on Team — enough for light automation on a scheduler you already use.

The honest limit: the request caps make it an automation companion, not an Ayrshare replacement for volume work.

Or: the platforms’ own APIs

The $0-subscription option is real and it is what Ayrshare abstracts: Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and the rest all publish official APIs. The bill arrives as engineering time instead — eight-plus separate integrations, app review on each platform, token refresh and error handling forever. Ayrshare at $149 is cheap against that maintenance load at enterprise scale; the tools above are cheap against Ayrshare everywhere below it.

How to choose

The short version

  1. 1

An AI agent is the caller: Social Magnum's MCP server on flat plans from $24 — no SDK, no key storage, approval gates included.

  2. 2

Your backend needs a pipe, cheapest: Upload-Post free to $16, then $33.

  3. 3

You want to own the stack at $0: Postiz, self-hosted.

  4. 4

AI video generation in the same bill: Blotato from $29, minding the credit meter and the trial's API exclusion.

  5. 5

You mostly need a scheduler and lightly an API: Publer's Business tier or Buffer's bundled caps.

  6. 6

Thirteen networks, compliance reviews, volume SLAs: stay with Ayrshare — at true enterprise scale its per-profile rates and mature surface are the honest pick.

Frequently asked

How much does Ayrshare cost?

On its pricing page on 23 August 2026: Premium $149 a month for 1 user profile, Launch $299 for 10, Business from $599 for 30 — then $8.99 per profile to 100, $3.49 to 500 and $2.49 beyond, with a $300 a month Max Pack add-on and 17% off annual billing. There is no free plan.

Does Ayrshare have a free plan?

No. The 28-day free trial (no card) applies to the $299 Launch plan. Free ways to build instead: Upload-Post's free tier (10 uploads a month), Postiz self-hosted (open source, $0), and Social Magnum's free plan (2 accounts, 15 posts a month) with MCP access included.

What is the cheapest Ayrshare alternative?

For a pure posting API: Upload-Post at $16 a month (free tier below it). For $0 forever: Postiz self-hosted. For an AI-agent connection with a full scheduler attached: Social Magnum at $24 flat for 10 accounts — against Ayrshare's $299 for the same profile count. Prices verified 23 August 2026.

Can an AI agent replace an Ayrshare integration?

If the integration's job was letting software post, reply and read analytics, yes — an MCP server gives the agent those as documented tools over OAuth, with the vendor enforcing approvals and pacing. Social Magnum exposes 26 such tools; Blotato also ships an MCP server. Code-first backends still want a REST API.

Is Ayrshare worth $149 a month?

At enterprise scale, often yes: thirteen networks, mature documentation, webhooks and support, with per-profile rates that fall to $2.49 at volume. Below that scale the price is the product's weakness — one profile for $149 is what every alternative on this page undercuts by roughly ten times.
